“Home Alone 2 Director Wants Trump Cameo Removed”

Home Alone 2 director Chris Columbus has said he wishes he could remove Donald Trump’s short appearance in the movie. In an interview, he called it a “curse” and said it has become a burden over time.

Chris explained that when they were filming the movie at the Plaza Hotel in New York, Trump agreed to let them shoot there only if he got a cameo. That short scene became famous, but now Chris feels it’s something he’d rather not have in the movie.

He added, “If I cut the scene, people might say I’m un-American or something. I’d probably get kicked out of the country,” he joked, referencing Trump’s harsh immigration policies during his presidency.

Trump, on the other hand, claimed last year that Chris was “begging” him to appear in the film. He said his cameo made the movie more popular. Trump posted on his social platform that Columbus was using his name now for attention.

Chris denied those claims, saying, “I never begged. We just really needed to film in the Plaza Hotel, and Trump made it a condition.” He also said he never expected that scene to get such a big reaction. While the crowd loved it back in the day, Chris now feels it’s more of a problem than a highlight.

He ended by saying, “It’s something I just wish was gone.”
