What is the GST?
The GST bill is nothing but a Goods and Services Tax to be imposed at the national level that will merge all the current taxes that are calculated separately in India. Very simply put, GST is a tax calculated at the state level and will be a single tax you pay in any state. GST for each state will be different. So, the state will be responsible for its own growth. The Central government will impose taxes on the sale, manufacture and consumption of goods and services at the national level. The bill will be effective from 1st July, 2017.
