The Budget Session 2025-26 continues today with discussions on the Motion of Thanks for the President’s address. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are set for intense debates.

Opposition parties are pushing for a discussion on the Maha Kumbh stampede tragedy. However, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju stated that the Business Advisory Committee will decide the session’s agenda.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore has moved an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha, demanding urgent discussions on ₹1,056 crore pending wages under MGNREGS in Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that 91 lakh workers are struggling without payments during the harvest season.
