Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has announced his retirement from direction but will continue as a producer. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, he confirmed that he will be producing Krrish 4, starring Hrithik Roshan, under Filmkraft Productions.
Rakesh shared, “I don’t think I’ll be directing any further. But I’ll surely announce Krrish 4 very soon.” Fans are speculating that Siddharth Anand, who worked with Hrithik on Bang Bang and War, might direct the next superhero film in the franchise.
Rakesh Roshan began the Krrish series with the sci-fi classic Koi Mil Gaya (2003), followed by the superhero hits Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). The franchise features Hrithik as Rohit and Krrish, with stars like Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah, Vivek Oberoi, and Kangana Ranaut.
Apart from Krrish 4, Rakesh will re-release iconic films like his 1995 blockbuster Karan Arjun this Friday, November 22. He also plans to bring back his 1988 hit Khoon Bhari Maang.
