Former U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran to stop its push for nuclear weapons. He said if Iran continues, the U.S. might take military action. Trump made this statement after recent talks between the U.S. and Iran in Oman, which were described as “positive.” Another meeting is planned for Saturday.
Trump made it clear: “Iran has to get rid of the concept of a nuclear weapon. They cannot have a nuclear weapon.” When asked if a military strike is possible, he replied, “Of course it does.”
Trump said Iran is getting closer to developing a nuclear bomb and must act quickly to avoid strong consequences. He believes Iran wants to make a deal but doesn’t know how.
He said, “They might be tapping us along,” hinting that Iran may be delaying the talks. However, he stressed that the U.S. will not allow Iran to become a nuclear power.
Even though both sides said the last meeting was constructive, Trump sounded doubtful and warned that “something very harsh” could happen if Iran doesn’t step back.
