Former U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States will take over the Gaza Strip and remove all unexploded bombs and weapons. He added that after clearing the area, the U.S. would help in its economic development.
At a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said both leaders discussed eliminating Hamas and bringing peace to the region.
Trump criticized Joe Biden’s handling of the Middle East, saying his administration did nothing for four years. He also insisted that Egypt and Jordan would accept Palestinians from Gaza, despite their refusal.
