Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar have caused a political uproar. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Yadav criticized Shah, saying he should leave politics. “Amit Shah has gone mad. He has hatred for Babasaheb Ambedkar. We condemn his remarks,” Lalu said.
Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in Bihar, also condemned Shah’s comments, accusing him and his party of being “anti-constitution” and spreading hatred. He added, “Babasaheb Ambedkar is our inspiration. We will not let anyone insult him.”
Congress MP Manickam Tagore moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha, demanding an apology from Amit Shah. He said, “Shah insulted Babasaheb Ambedkar in Parliament, and we want an apology and resignation.”
The issue quickly turned into a major political controversy, with the Congress demanding Shah’s resignation. Shah responded by accusing Congress of being “anti-constitutional” and claimed their protests would not change their position in politics.
