Director Matt Reeves recently addressed rumors about Robert Pattinson’s Batman entering James Gunn’s DC Universe. Reeves stated it would only happen if “it makes sense” creatively. He added, “I’m focused on The Batman Part II right now, and that’s the priority.”
Warner Bros. announced that The Batman Part II will release on October 1, 2027, delayed by a year. Fans were disappointed, but James Gunn defended the delay, citing the time needed for scriptwriting and production.
Gunn explained, “Big sequels often have long gaps. For example, 7 years between Alien and Aliens and 13 years between Avatar films.” He confirmed the delay is to ensure the script is perfect and the movie meets expectations.
The Batman (2022) was a massive hit, earning $369.3 million in the US and $772 million globally. Fans now eagerly await the sequel.
