The tragic incident occurred early Wednesday at the Sangam area during the Mauni Amavasya festival, as crores of pilgrims gathered for a holy dip. Between 1 am and 2 am, some devotees climbed over barricades at Akhara Marg, causing the stampede. The President took to ‘X’ to share her heartfelt message.
