“PM Modi in Austria: Promoting Peace with ‘Buddha’, Not ‘Yuddha'”

Addressing the Indian community in Vienna, PM Modi underscored India’s commitment to global peace and prosperity. He emphasised India’s historical contributions, stating, “India has always promoted peace by giving ‘Buddha’, not ‘Yuddha’ (war).”

Modi expressed confidence in India’s economic trajectory, aiming for it to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2047. He highlighted Austria’s expertise in green growth and innovation, emphasising potential collaborations.

The occasion commemorated 75 years of India-Austria friendship, celebrating shared democratic values, diversity, and respect for the rule of law. Modi commended the Indian diaspora’s role in enhancing bilateral relations and cultural exchange.
