“BJP’s Haryana List Surprise: Ministers Axed, New Faces Added”

The BJP in Haryana has announced its second list of 21 candidates for the state Assembly elections, making some big changes. The new list drops seven sitting MLAs, including two ministers and the state party president.

Key Changes:

• Dropped Ministers: Seema Trikha, the only woman minister, and Banwari Lal are no longer on the list. Trikha’s seat will now be filled by Dhanesh Adlakha, and Banwari Lal’s seat goes to Krishna Kumar.
• New Faces: The list now includes two Muslim candidates from the Mewat region: Naseem Ahmad (Ferozepur Jhirka) and Aizaz Khan (Punahana). This move aims to balance different community representations.
• Some party members are unhappy. Shiv Kumar Mehta and Satyavrat Shastri have resigned, feeling overlooked for their preferred seats.
• The BJP’s first list caused some unrest, and the second list has also sparked mixed reactions. The party is focusing on new candidates and community representation.
• The BJP still needs to announce candidates for three remaining seats. There’s also talk about Gopal Kanda’s involvement in seat negotiations.
