“Battle-Hardened JeM Terrorists Behind Jammu Attacks”

Since January 1, terror attacks in Jammu have killed twelve security personnel, including an Army captain, and ten civilians. A new group of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists, who infiltrated the region in the last six months, may be responsible. These recruits are from Pakistan’s Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions.

On Monday night, four Army personnel died in a gunfight in Doda, marking the third major attack in three weeks. Earlier, five soldiers were killed in Kathua on July 8, and nine pilgrims died in Reasi on June 9, the day PM Modi was sworn in.

The ‘People’s Anti-Fascist Front’ and ‘Kashmir Tigers’, believed to be JeM fronts, claimed responsibility. These terrorists, possibly ex-Pakistan Army soldiers with Afghan battle experience, use advanced tech like body cameras, showing their high training and motivation.

These incidents highlight the serious security challenges in Jammu from these skilled terrorists.
