Lok Sabha Adjourned Till 12 Noon in Winter Session 2024

The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon on the first day of the 2024 Winter Session. The session began with Speaker Om Birla adjourning the House.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge called for a discussion on the Adani saga, stressing its potential impact on India’s global reputation. He stated that the government should address the issue as it concerns the investments of millions of retail investors. Kharge emphasized the need for healthy competition in the private sector to promote equal opportunities and wealth distribution.

In his speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Opposition for disrupting proceedings in the Parliament. He also highlighted the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, which will be celebrated on November 26.

PM Modi expressed hopes for a productive session filled with constructive debates.
