The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a bomb threat via email written in Russian, warning to blow up the bank. The email was sent to the official RBI website, and Mumbai Police have filed a case in response. This comes just hours after several schools in New Delhi also received bomb threats.
Schools such as Bhatnagar Public School and Delhi Public School were among those targeted, with a ransom demand of USD 30,000. The Delhi Police and Fire Brigade acted swiftly, conducting thorough checks, but no suspicious items were found. Investigations are ongoing.
