7. Dia de los muertos[Day of the Dead], Mexico

It is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gathering of family and friends to pray and remember who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico where a day is a bank holiday tradition. Connected with the holiday include building private alters called ofrendas honouring the deceased using sugar skulls ,marigolds and the favourite food and drinks of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts.
