Mumbai Police have arrested Sohail Pasha, a 24-year-old aspiring songwriter, for allegedly sending threatening messages to Salman Khan and demanding ₹5 crore. The threats were reportedly made in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Pasha, who hoped to make his song Main Sikandar Hun famous, used this ploy to gain attention.
The Mumbai Crime Branch traced the WhatsApp messages to Raichur, Karnataka, where they tracked Pasha down. He used a stranger’s phone to send the threats, claiming Khan would be killed unless the money was paid. Pasha has now been brought to Mumbai for further investigation.
This marks the fourth threat received by the traffic police helpline in recent months.
