Delhi woke up to ‘severe’ air quality on Thursday (Nov 14), with dense smog reducing visibility across the NCR. On Wednesday, the city’s AQI hit 454, moving into the ‘severe plus’ category for the first time this season. Areas like Aya Nagar, Ashok Vihar, and Wazirpur recorded the worst pollution levels, with AQI crossing 400.
Despite this, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has not enforced Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), which could close schools and halt construction.
