A Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) contestant, Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, recently shared an inspiring story about Amitabh Bachchan. While filming Kaala Patthar in 1979, Big B was sprayed with contaminated water, which affected his health. Despite this, he showed resilience and continued shooting without taking a break.
The film, directed by Yash Chopra, is based on the Chasnala mining disaster. It starred Amitabh Bachchan alongside Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Rakhee Gulzar, and others.
Kaushalendra also revealed an interesting fact: Amitabh’s father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, shared in a book that Amitabh always faces north while eating. This practice is inspired by the Mahabharata, symbolizing truth and longevity.
When asked about this, Amitabh said, “If I had to choose, I’d pick truth over longevity.”
