Pahalgam Attack: 5 Terrorists Involved, 3 From Pakistan

A new investigation reveals that five terrorists were behind the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir’s Baisaran valley. Out of them, three are from Pakistan and two are believed to be locals. The terrorists opened fire on tourists on Tuesday, killing and injuring several people.

Security officials say that the Urdu spoken by the attackers matches the dialect from parts of Pakistan. Two locals were possibly helping the Pakistani terrorists. Sketches of three attackers have been shared, and a reward of ₹20 lakh each is announced for information about them.

Sources say the attackers are linked to terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, and they planned the attack together.

The attackers reportedly fled into the dense Pir Panjal forests. Search operations by the Army and J&K police are ongoing. They may have used body cameras to film the attack, which terror groups often use for propaganda.

Officials say the terrorists suddenly appeared from the jungle, attacked, and disappeared back. Victims were shot in the head and chest, indicating it was a brutal and well-planned attack.
