“President Murmu Mourns Tragic Stampede At Maha Kumbh”

President Droupadi Murmu expressed deep sorrow over the stampede that took place at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, sending her condolences to the victims’ families. She also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured devotees.

The tragic incident occurred early Wednesday at the Sangam area during the Mauni Amavasya festival, as crores of pilgrims gathered for a holy dip. Between 1 am and 2 am, some devotees climbed over barricades at Akhara Marg, causing the stampede. The President took to ‘X’ to share her heartfelt message.
