The wait is over for fans of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara! The makers have announced that Kantara: Chapter 1 will hit the big screen on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.

The teaser released in November 2023 reveals a new avatar of Rishab’s character, Shiva, with long hair, a muscular build, and a trishool in hand. The prequel will explore the events leading up to the original film, diving deeper into the mystical forest and divine powers.

Rishab Shetty, who directed and starred in the original, plays a dual role, showcasing father-son relationships with a supernatural twist.
