“Govinda Injured in Accidental Gunfire at Home”

Popular actor Govinda was hospitalized this morning after suffering a bullet injury to his leg at his Juhu home around 4:45 AM. The injury occurred due to a misfire from his licensed revolver. Thankfully, he is out of danger and recovering well.

In an audio clip, Govinda expressed gratitude for the blessings of his fans, parents, and guru. “I was hit by a bullet, but it has been extracted. I thank the doctors and appreciate your prayers,” he said.

At the time of the incident, the 60-year-old actor, who is also a Shiv Sena leader, was alone at home, preparing to leave for Kolkata. His wife, Sunita Ahuja, who was in Kolkata, rushed back to Mumbai upon hearing about the misfire. His manager, Shashi Sinha, explained that the revolver fell from a cupboard and went off, hitting him below the knee. After calling his wife and manager, the police arrived quickly and took him to Criticare Hospital, where his condition is now stable. His daughter, Tina, is by his side.
