Jammu & Kashmir Voting Update: 11% Turnout in First Two Hours!

The highly anticipated Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections have begun with the first phase today. Seven districts are casting their votes, marking the first assembly polls since the removal of Article 370 in August 2019.

Over 23 lakh voters are eligible for today’s phase, covering 24 assembly seats across Chenab Valley and South Kashmir. Key candidates include Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami from CPI(M), Ghulam Ahmad Mir from Congress, and Sakina Itoo from National Conference.
