The late Maggie Smith will receive a special tribute in the upcoming Downton Abbey 3. Executive producer Gareth Neame confirmed that the film will honor both Maggie and her iconic character, the Dowager Countess. Maggie passed away at 89 on September 27.
Neame shared, “The loss of Dame Maggie has added a deep poignancy to the story. The actors mourning the family matriarch feels even more genuine now.”

Her Emmy-winning roles in Downton Abbey and My House in Umbria further showcased her incredible talent.
