“Jalgaon Train Tragedy: 13 Dead, Many Injured”

A tragic train accident in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district has claimed 13 lives and left several injured. The incident happened when passengers aboard the Pushpak Express panicked after hearing rumors of a fire. In fear, they pulled the emergency chain and jumped off the train, landing on a parallel track where the Karnataka Express struck them.

Authorities confirmed no evidence of fire or sparks was found in the train. The chaos caused by misinformation led to a devastating loss of life. Survivors shared heartbreaking accounts of the tragedy.

The Railway Ministry announced compensation of ₹1.5 lakh for the families of the deceased, ₹50,000 for the seriously injured, and ₹5,000 for minor injuries. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis announced ₹5 lakh for the victims’ families and assured free medical care for the injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow and prayed for the recovery of the injured.
